OSTEOPATHY: A PROMOSING PROFESSION
Osteopathy is an independent profession perfectly integrated in the health system and offering multiple career possibilities both in liberal and in athletic or humanitarian structures.
Today, a large number of national and international sporting federations give their athletes the possibility to access osteopathic services. Likewise, an increasing amount of maternities call upon osteopathic services for babies and young mothers.
Osteopathy: Another vision of health
Over the past few years, osteopathy has grown impressively, counting 300 000 new patients turning towards our profession each year, and 20 million people in total having already been treated by an osteopath.
What IS osteopathy?
Osteopathy is a manual therapeutic method who’s objective is to determine and treat the mobility restrictions affecting the tissular body (muscles, ligaments, aponevrosis, ...) upholding and composing the human body, and which can lead to an unbalance of the State of Health. Based on science’s most recent knowledge, the Osteopathic Treatment is adapted to each patient while respecting the individual’s psychological and physical integrity.
A Natural Complement to Medicine
Osteopathy, with its complementary specificities to other medical branches, enables a patient to take charge of his health capital so as to lean towards a more autonomous and responsible lifestyle. Both a health science discipline and a therapeutic form of art, osteopathy answers to patients’ expectations and to a real need.
