MOBILITY

The teaching staff's mobility

The COE teaching staff is a mobile body; their partnership with the Europaïsches Colleg für Osteopathie in Munich, Germany (www.osteocoe.de) facilitates exchanges between the two establishements. On a regular basis, our German teachers come to teach at Cergy-Pontoise and our French teachers travel to Germany to teach in Munich. Our project for 2009-2013 is to offer teachers the opportunity to teach for prolonged periods of time at the ECO where training modules would be proposed alongside teaching hours. Increasing our staff mobility will grant our teachers a broader experience with different cultural, social, and pedagogical references, hence enriching their cursus and career path. Foreign language classes and French classes will be organized at the Cergy-Pontoise language centers.

Student mobility

We are also planning to establish an exchange program for our students and the Europaïsches Colleg für Osteopathie. Students could thereby complete a part of their osteopathic training in Munich and the other in Cergy-Pontoise. This exchange is possible as a result of harmonizing the COE's and ECO's pedagogical programs and by using the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS). During exchanges from Munich to Cergy-Pontoise, for instance, each foreign student would be paired up with a local buddy who would help with finding accommodation and accessing Cergy-Pontoise’s University Restaurant (CROUS). At the end of the exchange, a satisfaction questionnaire would be handed out to teachers and students alike in order to evaluate the quality of the establishement’s training and integration capacities. The objective of the Erasmus project is to help students become more enterprising and offer them the opportunity to open their minds to new forms of knowledge. Thus each student would possess a unique course of study while commonly benefiting from the ECTS.
