Presentation
Our Osteopathic Clinic is a genuine osteopathic care center and is open to all.
When they become members, patients benefit from free osteopathic health care.
In close collaboration with the COE, the Osteopathic Clinic forms its clinical department. The clinic offers patients constantly renewed and updated osteopathic healthcare in the forefront of European and international osteopathic standards.
All of our practitioners are trained according to the OSTEA method, thus guaranteeing an authentic and modern osteopathy, scientifically evaluated by the AREDOE (Association pour la Recherche et le Développement de l’Ostéopathie en Europe)
The COE Clinic’s practitioners offer:
- A personalized osteopathic assessment
- An adapted osteopathic treatment
- A preventative approach helping to potentialize each individual’s health capital
Quality: It’s a Promise
The COE clinic narrowly collaborates with health professionals and hospital centers in the Val d’Oise.
A personal file is opened for each patient and is regularly evaluated and controlled by our osteopathic staff. Confidentiality rules and professional secrecy are respected.
Items evaluated and controlled for each patient:
- The quality of the osteopathic care administered during each consultation and throughout the entire treatment
- The physical and psychosomatic organisation, comprehension of each individual patient, considered as a whole
- The therapist’s capacity to master and elaborate the therapeutic project
- The analysis and discussion of the osteopathic clinical results
- The therapist’s ability to adapt and elaborate the entire therapeutic project
Consulting
After a detailed interrogatory, a global osteopathic evaluation orients the therapist towards a more specific osteopathic treatment, while respecting the osteopathic indications and contraindications.
When necessary, the regular doctor and/or hospital services are contacted if complementary exams are needed.
Firstly, the student builds up his patient’s file and asks a multitude of questions.
In order to obtain better therapeutic results, the COE uses several judgment criteria (such as the Pain Scale, or the Quality of Life Scale), which are commonly used for clinical trials.
The student will then realize an osteopathic diagnosis protocol, while respecting the osteopathic concept.
He goes on to establishing a therapeutic project with the patient and then proceeds to act out his osteopathic treatment protocol.
The student must fill out and complete his patient file, which is subsequently evaluated and controlled by a supervisor.
Why Consult?
The key to a long and healthy life has no mystery: a healthy lifestyle, regular physical activity, a balanced diet. But what of our stress, traumatisms, and bad postures, which all throughout our lives, are imprinted in our bodies?
Osteopathy takes on the individual as a whole, perfectly according its philosophy with the WHO’s (World Health Organization) definition of health:
« Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity. »
