ORGANIZATION OF DOUBLE DEGREE STUDIES
For health professionals
Double Degree studies are organized in a 5 year cycle of 120 ECTS, 1436H, including two phases:
- First Phase: theoretical and practical acquisitions
- Second phase: synthesis and clinical application
Decree n° 2007-437 (25/03/2007) defines the osteopathic training according to Training Units (TU):

Practical and Theoretical Osteopathy UFA UFB UFC
For all health professionals
The practice and theory osteopathy classes (UFA UFB UFC) are to be followed during 5-day seminaries (Friday to Tuesday) and throughout clinical or theme-based days, especially for fifth years.
- Throughout the three first years, 6 5-day seminaries are offered to which are added a 2-day examination period.
- The fourth year offers 6 5-day seminaries + 2 examination days along with a stage by a practicing osteopath.
- Towards the end of the fourth year, the student is required to validate his/her clinical autonomy, as well as UFA and UFB, enabling them to access the clinical stages and emergency clinicals programmed at the end of the year.
- Towards the end of the fifth year, the student’s validation of UFC, obtained by validating the Carnet Clinique, as well as the memoir validation and the literature research project enables the student to receive his/her Diploma in Osteopathy D.O.
Physiotherapist/Doctor Double Degree Training Synoptic
For midwives and nurses
Must validate the osteopathic training described above, to which is added the validation of Training Units 3, 4, and 5 (UF3 UF4 and UF5; 732H or 62,5 ECTS), which includes the theoretical teaching for fundamental and human sciences.
This additional training is spread out throughout the first 4 years under the form of lectures within the COE establishment; it also includes 23 compulsory Tutorial Classes (TD).
These Tutorial Classes correspond to an additional day per seminary + 2 days more for examinations, adding up to a total of 25 days.
The class schedule for these additional courses is made available at the beginning of each trimester.
