OUR PEDAGOGY AT THE COE
A balance between theory, practice, and clinic
What do I need to become an osteopath?
Developing human qualities
We encourage open-mindedness, curiosity, intuition, and an enthusiasm for helping others
Acquiring Theoretical Knowledge
In Fundamental Sciences
The COE is determined to provide its students with a solid base in modern and scientific medicine: anatomy, histology, physiopathology...
In Human Sciences
We emphasize the importance of a thorough understanding of clinical psychology and psychosomatics, so as to concord with the high standards we set in the osteopathic consultations offered by COE students.
In Osteopathic Sciences
Studying the concept of osteopathy as well as its history and evolution is crucial to mastering the diagnostic and therapeutic methods taught at the COE.
Acquiring Practical Knowledge
In Medical and Human Sciences
Mastering medico-surgical semiology, imagery, and psychology will enable our graduates to become first-line consultants in the world of health.
In Osteopathic Sciences
The COE’s pedagogical method enables students at the COE to live osteopathy by practicing on real cases as of their very first year, thus allowing them to acquire priceless experience in terms of osteopathic gesture, diagnosis, and therapy.
Acquiring a Clinical Experience
Students at the COE administer care to patients in real live conditions, and can put to practice their osteopathic knowledge while supervised by the COE’s professional staff of teachers and osteopaths.
This clinical experience enables the student in osteopathy to progressively become a genuinely responsible and autonomous therapist.
Until they obtain their diploma, our future practitioners will be able to experiment the quality of their diagnoses and the efficiency of their osteopathic treatment within the school’s osteopathic clinic and by participating the MED & COE’s osteopathic assistance.
Framing Students
The COE accompanies its students until complete autonomy
At the COE, education is based on a student-practitioner relationship. We take are students through each step of the way to becoming an efficient and trustworthy practitioner. It is for this reason that each of our teachers is responsible for a small number of students.
Evolving individually, while progressing together
Throughout the entire year, we make ourselves available to:
- listen to your needs, thereby contributing to your fulfillment
- facilitate interactivity to help you increase your know-how and to value your resources as therapists
A set of well-defined objectives has been set in order to follow each year’s evolution. Students are regularly evaluated by a system of credit validation for theoretical and practical classes. This system enables us to evaluate your progress at any given time, to define your needs, and to effectively respond to them.
