Organization of Study

For Baccalaureate Students

The COE offers a superior studies program meeting the general requirements of European universities. The program is composed a 4-year cycle, followed by a 1-year cycle after which the student obtains a Diploma in Osteopathy D.O. In total, the student will have completed 4,400 hours of studies.

Our program is in conformity with Decree 2007-437 (25/03/2007) and meets the general requirements for superior studies in France. It is conform to the ERASMUS University Charter and its educational values.

The COE courses are validated by the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS), an innovation which guarantees the quality of our program. Indeed, the Diploma in Osteopathy offered at the COE is a Masters level and is equivalent to 330 ECTS (according to the LMD European norms).

The Undergraduate Program for Osteopathy is organized in two cycles

First Cycle: 4 years – 8 semesters – 3,200 hours – 240 ECTS

Basic training in osteopathy

Objective

The first cycle is a time during which the student acquires solid bases in fundamental and medical sciences, in diagnostic and therapeutic osteopathic protocols, and obtains a validation for clinical autonomy.

Second cycle: 1 year – 2 semesters – 1,200 hours – 90 ECTS

Professionalizing level

Objective

The second cycle is a period during which the student becomes a clinician osteopath, completes a clinical and literature research memoir, and obtains a University Diploma in Psychosomatics.
